Fundamentals of Residential Energy Auditing™

This live seminar will not be offered again during the current calendar year. However, you may wish to consider hosting this course in-house at your own location by contacting 770-279-4391.

About this Seminar

This 3-day program is designed to provide the specific training needed by professionals preparing to sit for AEE’s Residential Energy Auditor (REA) certification exam. The program covers all major aspects of home energy use, residential energy systems and technologies, energy conservation measures (ECM), energy auditing methodology and calculations, and diagnostic and software tools. The course material assumes no prior knowledge of the topic and incorporates all the basic information residential energy auditors need.

This course earns 2.4 CEUs, 24 PDHs and 4.8 AEE Credits toward Re-certification and is:

  • AIA learning units eligible.
  • An GBCI / CMP approved training course.

Further information on course accreditation and recognition.

This is a preparatory course for the Association of Energy Engineers Certification Exam:

Certified Residential Energy Auditor | REA®

Registering for the seminar does not automatically register you to take the associated AEE certification exam. To complete the certification application process, and qualify to sit for the exam, or for more information on AEE certifications, please visit aeecenter.org/certification.

AEE’s certification exam can also be taken at a remote testing center. For more information about certification and testing, visit aeecenter.org/testing centers.

Other offerings of this seminar may also be available as an In-House program or hosted by a local AEE chapter.
