The Energy Services Program Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of innovative and customer-focused energy services technical consultants that will work with commercial and industrial customers to identify and implement tailored energy solutions to fit the customers? needs. This position will be responsible for evaluating a wide range of technical energy related products and developing comprehensive business strategies to bring products and services to customers in a way the optimizes the customer experience. Responsible for recruiting and acquiring a team of energy services technical consultants that brings both technical expertise to identify customer specific energy solutions as well as the ability to prepare the financial analysis to assist the customer in making effective business decisions on how to optimize their energy profile. Leads the direction of solution sales execution and communicates the competitive landscape to operating company senior leadership and AEP senior leaders. In doing so, is recognized as an organizational unit sales professional with sound industry and sales expertise regarding our products and technologies. Manages processes to lead the company into new business segments, customer verticals and new technologies through effective sales negotiation strategies. Participates in business development and customer services strategic planning processes with I&M sr. leadership to establish the long-term vision for the integration of technologies, consults and educates other operating company staff interrelationships between cost drivers, revenues, business risk, and development of new business models and revenue streams. Provide outstanding leadership of the energy services organization by providing clear definition of roles and responsibilities, performance expectations, and promoting a culture of engagement, innovation, teamwork, and individual accountability. Develop comprehensive business strategies for a wide range of energy related products and services that would include: detailed description of the product or service; target market analysis; value proposition messaging; customer engagement schedule and budget; key performance metrics to monitor progress towards goals; and management progress reporting. Participate as a member of the corporate leadership team in the development of both short-term and long-term strategies to improve the customer experience by providing innovative products and services. Lead the identification and evaluation of energy related products and services by working with corporate groups, participating in energy technology events, benchmarking with other utilities, and engaging with companies that provide products and services that may benefit customers. Engage directly with customers on a regular basis to promote the energy services products and services and to obtain feedback on customers' interest in optimizing their relationship with the utility. Builds teams and networks extending intra/inter company, regulatory agencies, and professional organizations using demonstrated comprehensive knowledge sales channels, technical knowledge, business acumen, leadership, established relationships and communication skills with the purpose of integrating and selling complex technologies.
