LOCATIONS & DATES
This three-day live seminar will not be offered again during the current calendar year. However, you may wish to consider hosting an inhouse CSDP certification training course at your own location by contacting 770-279-4391.
Seminar participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel where each course will take place. In most cases these rooms are held up to four weeks prior to the seminar date. We therefore recommend that you make your hotel reservations early to assure availability of space, and be sure to reference AEE and the name of this seminar to assure that you receive the appropriate room rate.
ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Sustainable development has evolved into a critical and major policy issue for a world facing serious environmental issues, energy concerns and population growth. Implementing successful sustainable development programs requires a balanced understanding of the technologies and realities faced by governments, institutions and corporations. All of these elements have been refined and fully clarified in this focused, comprehensive seminar, to provide you with the skills you'll need to create sustainable development plans, customize key components for your organization, and deliver a successful program.
The course enables you both to expand your knowledge in the field, and as well to prepare for the examination required to achieve AEE's Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP) certification. For those wishing to qualify for the certification, the CSDP examination will be administered on the afternoon of the final day of the seminar following morning instruction.
Executive Order 13514 / Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance mandated that at least 15% of existing federal buildings and leased facilities meet Energy Efficiency Guiding Principles by 2015, and that annual progress be made toward 100% conformance of all federal buildings. The Order additionaly set the goal that all new federal buildings achieve net-zero-energy status by 2030. This course is also designed to provide the training and tools needed by those involved in the process of meeting the goals set by this Executive Order.
Emphasis is placed on understanding how the many diverse elements of "green" design, and sustainable technologies and related cost implications, can truly result in a well defined and manageable sustainable development plan.
