ABOUT THE SEMINAR
This 3-day program is designed to provide the specific training needed by professionals preparing to sit for AEEs Certified Industrial Energy Professional (CIEP) certification exam, as well as to provide valuable training for those seeking to improve their skills and strategies for effectively acheiving industrial and manufacturing energy cost control. Though the number and types of manufacturing and industrial processes is broad, many have somewhat common equipment, fuel supplies, steam systems, fluid moving equipment, prime movers and instrumentation. The intent of this course is to provide those responsible for energy or utilities operations in industrial settings with the knowledge and tools they need to manage these systems more effectively providing a basis to save energy, successfully fund energy-reducing projects, and realize tangible benefits from these efforts. The seminar also serves as a preparatory training course for the examination required to be completed by those seeking to obtain AEE's Certified Industrial Energy Professional (CIEP) certification. The CIEP certification program identifies and distinguishes those having the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to effectively manage industrial and manufacturing energy costs. For those seeking to achieve the CIEP certification, the CIEP examination will be administered on the morning following Day 3 of the seminar.

TIM JANOS is president of Spectrum Energy Concepts, Inc., an internationally recognized consulting firm serving the broad-based needs of numerous clients with respect to energy consumption and conservation. He has performed hundreds of energy assessments and audits as a part of managing energy conservation projects for his clients. Mr. Janos has previously served as International President of the Association of Energy Engineers, and currently serves as Director of Special Projects for the AEE, as well as Chairman of the Certified Energy Auditor Certification Board. He was elected to the status of AEE Fellow in 2014
JOHN R. PUSKAR is president of Prescient Technical Services in Cleveland, Ohio. A licensed mechanical engineer for over 30 years, he has conducted more than 200 energy audits throughout his career, with a focus on industrial facilities including chemical plants, refineries, auto plants, and steel plants. He is a former corporate energy systems engineer, and also has also directed many implementation projects as a licensed contractor. Mr. Puskar's perspective is unique and very practical, with emphasis on operations and "real world" solutions.
