Seminar Participants Receive Complimentary
Cogen Assessment Computer Program

The course instructor is providing to each course participant a disc containing a powerful computer program designed for use in analyzing cogeneration systems. The disc will be mailed to you following AEE's receipt of your paid registration for the seminar.

The program allows input of monthly utility data, (i.e. fuel, electric energy in kwh and electric demand in kw and their respective costs). It can also be used for input of selected technology performance and to calculate overall themal efficiency as well as FERC efficiency. By pricing out the technology and its installation, the program will produce return on investment calculations, simple payback as well as cash flow projections based on input finance rates. It will also produce a letter to the Federal Enegy Regulatory Commission needed for attaining Qualified Facility stamp. In addition, it allows for inputting displacement of kilowatts for chilled water applications, applicable rebates, sales taxes, itemized installation costs and soft costs such as permitting, shipping, rigging and financing.

During the 4th session of the seminar, the instructor will take the you through an application of the program, so it is suggested you have the program installed on your computer by that time.
