in boiler operations, design, testing, and troubleshooting to this program.
A nationally recognized authority on boiler efficiency improvement he
has managed a world wide boiler tune-up program involving close to a thousand
boilers, hundreds of plants and thousands of tests - identifying deficiencies
- and millions of dollars in energy savings per year. He holds an unlimited
steam engineers license, three Professional Engineers licenses and is
a Certified Energy Manager. He has published two books on boiler and steam
plant optimization and developed an extensive course for operators of
high capacity fossil fuel fired plants. He has made an extensive study

courses. He believes the student should be comfortable with the subject
and confident he can apply the lessons. He has been president of the consulting
firm BTU consultants and for the past 15 years has been troubleshooting
plants, conducting efficiency tests and evaluations for much longer. His
research has resulted in "new science" pushing plant efficiency
to new high levels and is developing a new technology to reduce pollution
and CO2 to new lower levels. He earned his B.S. degree at the U.S. Coast
Guard Academy.
