ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Market segmentation is an integral step in identifying the best business opportunities in any market. A thoughtful, creative approach to the segmentation process can play a key role for the energy solution provider in successfully developing the ideal customer base, making "win-win" customer-provider relationships easier to forge and maintain.

There has been a tendency by many energy solution providers to rely on stale market segmentation strategies, such as industry classification. But knowing, for example, whether the customer is "industrial" versus "institutional" can be of limited help to the solution provider who is seeking to smartly apply scarce business development resources to their most effective use.

The better, more effective alternative approach looks instead at the customer organization's needs, motivations, and ability to make purchasing decisions. Clearer, more targeted knowledge of what to sell, to whom, and how to sell it comes from a better understanding of these organizational attributes.

This seminar is intended for consulting engineers, product vendors, and energy service company business development professionals. As a participant, you will gain a clearer understanding of the organizational dynamics that determine a prospect's readiness to seek and purchase energy-related products and services. You can then match your available business development resources to the most attractive market opportunities.
