IRA GOLDSCHMIDT, P.E., LEED® AP, is owner of Goldschmidt Engineering Solutions, Inc., which provides DDC system design, commissioning, technology assessment and integration solutions for a variety of facilities and clients. He has over 25 years experience in mechanical design, temperature controls and energy management, and developed some of the earliest full DDC installations for HVAC control. He is co-author of the ASHRAE BACnet™ standard for DDC system communications and the ASHRAE Guideline "Specifying Direct Digital Controls."
