ABOUT THE SEMINAR

Become a Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP).
Here's your opportunity to take part in a focused, fast-paced instructional program, designed both to expand your knowledge in the field, and to serve as a preparatory vehicle for the examination required to achieve AEE's Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) certification. (Optionally, you may also consider taking the 3 day Fundamentals of Buying & Selling Energy live seminar, offered at several locations throughout the U.S. each year.)

The program covers the full spectrum of topics essential to the energy procurement process, examining both electricity and natural gas, from both a purchasing/procurement and a selling/marketing perspective. You’ll learn the best approaches for defining corporate energy goals, assessing energy use parameters, evaluating energy provider options, comparing competitive proposals, and integrating the benefits of competitive energy procurement into an overall energy management program. On the selling side, the program will examine proven strategies for building a customer base, answering RFPs, and establishing overall sound business practices that will build your market share and status as a player in the marketplace.

About CEP Certification. The requirements to qualify for the certification process have been designed to take into account the possible diversity of education and practical experience an individual may have. Each applicant for CEP professional certification must attend either this online seminar or AEE’s live Fundamentals of Buying & Selling Energy training seminar, and complete and pass a written exam, as well as meet specific educational and professional criteria. This seminar program covers the full scope of subjects which are addressed on the CEP examination. (Note that the seminar fee does not include the certification application fee.)
