ABOUT THE SEMINAR

AIA Learning Units Eligible

This course has been approved by AIA for continuing education credits. The AIA requires that its registered architect members earn 18 Learning Unit (LU) hours of continuing education credit annually (eight hours of which must be related to Health, Safety, and Welfare topics and four of those eight in Sustainable Design) to remain in good standing. Architectural boards in 40 states, 10 Canadian Provinces, and 19 countries have implemented mandatory continuing education (MCE) for re-licensure.

The Association of Energy Engineers is an approved training provider within the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education Systems (CES) Registered Provider program.

This course will provide participants with a "shopping list" of over 100 possible ways to simultaneously achieve the following:

  • Improve boiler and steam system performance
  • Increase company profits by saving energy dollars
  • Insure that you don't miss hidden opportunities because this shopping list is very complete
  • Reduce pollution
  • Reduce maintenance problems
  • Reduce your carbon footprint because you are working at the very source of CO2 emissions

You'll leave this program with a clear picture of the complexities of boilers and steam systems. You'll understand how and why energy has a way of mysteriously disappearing without a trace, and how to correct this problem. By implementing the measures presented, you can reduce fuel costs, conserve energy, reduce pollution, reduce your carbon footprint, and significantly increase your company's profits. You'll get the facts you need about efficient boilers, efficient steam systems and efficient use of energy. You'll learn how to identify the most productive targets out of a multitude of possible opportunities presented in the course.

Instructed by one of the nation's most highly regarded boiler and steam system efficiency experts, this program will give you an understanding of:

  • Key elements of boiler and steam system efficiency.
  • Helpful rules of thumb and general simplified concepts that make the task of identifying trouble spots and opportunities much simpler and faster.
  • A long list of energy saving opportunities to fit almost any plant or system.
  • A new refreshed viewpoint of the logic necessary to improve plant conditions.
  • The tools to do a complete system analysis.
  • Ways to significantly reduce your company's carbon footprint. This information will be very helpful in coping with future carbon Cap and Trade regulations
