The West Coast Energy Management Congress (EMC), now in its 29th year, is where top professionals from throughout the western U.S. will come to get up to speed on the latest energy marketplace developments, explore promising new technologies for their facilities, compare energy supply options, and learn about innovative project implementation strategies. There is no better way to reach these active and motivated buyers than by placing your product and sales team on the West Coast EMC show floor. The program also includes an outstanding two-day conference featuring presentations of interest to end users by leading experts from throughout the energy field. We invite you to take this opportunity to meet customers face to face, develop sales leads, discuss equipment upgrade needs, and showcase your products and services to a prequalified audience of active buyers and energy decision makers, by placing your exhibit at the 2011 West Coast EMC. Southern California Edison (SCE) is one of the nations largest investor-owned electric utilities, serving nearly 14 million people in 15 counties of Central, Coastal and Southern California. Based in Rosemead, California, the utility has been providing electric service in the region for more than 120 years. SCE is a subsidiary of Edison International, which also is headquartered in Rosemead. As the nations leading purchaser of renewable energy, SCE delivered 13.6 billion kilowatt-hours of renewable energy to its customers in 2009 17 percent of the total energy delivered to its customers. This energy comes from such renewable sources as wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, and small hydroelectric. Over the last five years, SCE customers have saved 6.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity through SCEs energy-efficiency programs and services enough to power 965,000 average Southern California homes for an entire year. During that five-year period, SCEs partnership with its customers reduced greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 3.4 million metric tons the equivalent of removing 650,000 cars from the road.
